When Logan spotted Joe, he casually pulled away from Neil, wandering over to get a better look at the man's beat up appearance. He looked pretty fucked up, like he'd just been in a fight, but that didn't stop Logan from saying something light rather than show his concern.

"Rough sex last night? You really need to teach those girls not to hit so hard," he said.

I know exactly why Logan looks so fucking uncomfortable. What I can't figure out is why I do. It's not just the understandable annoyance. There's more too it than that. I don't wanna think about it.

It's fucked up. Guy doesn't even know me, not really, and suddenly just 'cause I'm standin' next to Logan, I become the fucking ball and chain. How fucked up is that?

"I'm gonna get a drink," I mutter, turning away and heading toward the club.

"Took something she shouldn't have," Joe replied, smirking a little at Neil as he turned away. "What's the problem? You rather I call you 'that guy who fucks people for money'? Figured the wife was a bit less insulting."

Yeah, he was being an asshole now. He really didn't give a fuck. Maybe he should've, because he actually liked Logan. "What's your name? Forgot it. Maybe I can call you that. That work for everyone?"

"Don't talk to him like that," Logan said firmly. "I mean it, just don't. If you can't remember his name, you should just shut the hell up old man."

"Just forget it, Logan," I say, looking back at him over my shoulder, one corner of my mouth lifting up almost into a smile, "'s Neil. And you can act as fucking smug as you want, but you didn't give me a good enough time for me to stick around to hear your shit." I glance back at Logan one more time, almost apologetic, before slipping through the door, a silent offer for him to come too. And I figure Joe'll follow... whatever.

Joe smirked at Logan, then pushed past him, heading into the club as well. He still liked getting that kind of reaction, hearing people get pissed at him, try to insult him in return. Not much they could say to really piss him off unless they talked about Billy, but neither of them knew about him, so Joe was more or less safe.

"Buy you assholes a drink," he offered, loud enough for them both to hear.

Logan followed, but he didn't say anything. He planned on leaving that up to Neil. Anything to keep himself out of trouble with the other boy.

"Just get me a beer," I say, 'cause I sure as hell aren't gonna pass up a free drink. I lean against the bar, looking back at Logan with a teasing smirk, "Logan here wants somethin' blue and fizzy."

"Blue and fizzy?" Joe asked, an eyebrow arched as he limped toward the bar, casting a glance back at Logan. "That right?"

"Just a beer," Logan corrected Joe, giving Neil a look.

I smirk, rolling my eyes at Logan for being fucking uptight, and wondering if he's got some urge to impress this guy. I lounge against the bar, blank-faced and looking bored. Looking like I don't fucking belong here.

Getting three beers, Joe turned back to the two of them and offered them their drinks. "You done throwing your tantrum?" he asked Logan.

"What tantrum?" Logan asked, looking annoyed. "All I did was tell you not to be a dick."

"I think you both need to shut the fuck up," I decide, taking my drink and knocking back a pretty fucking generous gulp.

"Demanding, eh?" Joe asked with a smirk, looking at Neil and then taking a sip of his own beer, sinking down into a nearby chair.

Sipping his beer, Logan just frowned, staring into the bottle rather than saying anything else just yet.
