Saturday Jessica left at 8-something AM for ice skating and I got up at 9:30 and did some dishes and laundry. After she got back I made strawberry buttermilk pancakes (which were great!). That's awkward enough that I'm not entirely convinced it's proper (though whether you were shooting for absolute propriety, or just trying to avoid a dangling preposition, I don't know). For the record, and what it's worth, I'd prob'ly have said either "we ended up going to Walgreens to find that for which we were looking" or more likely still, "we ended up going to Walgreens to find that which we sought."

Indeed; I did not want to end my sentence with "for".

/cause I still haven't found what I'm looking for

You could construct the sentence in such a manner so you'd say, "I will not put up with dangling participles." Furthermore, it's "to put up with" rather idiomatic? You're not actually putting up anything.
