Snap, crackle and pop. Now that the latest Ethel the Aardvark fanzine (142, with a cool maroon and blue cover) is out, I can now say I am surprised and delighted to be offered a Life Membership by the Melbourne Science Fiction Club. I am unsure how many weekly meetings I have attended in 26 years, but I did calculate I had made 4,500

Congrats on the life membership - well deserved!
I can think of four fanzines without trying:
Steam Engine Time
Ethel the Aardvark
ANZAPA (which might be cheating)
Interstellar Ramjet Scoop
They all seem to be VIC based... perhaps that's why the Chronos awards are necessary!

Um, maybe we should start thinking about producing a fanzine here in SA...
I agree about the kids' program and will forward your comments to Ruth.

I'm pretty sure they have done one of those every year for the last few years. I've never managed to get to one!

Yay, LOL
Well I have to do some sort of a fanzine. Here would be a great place to make a fabulous joke about a Dudcon (next years SF Natcon, in Melbourne) fanzine... Of course I suspect i have enough for an issue of Psychodaleks too. Was Watching Doctor Who DVD featuring the Special Weapons Dalek today. Still cool.

I would love to see another Psychodaleks. It would be well received, especially now that Dr. Who has been back on the air in recent years. I'm sure I have a few doodles about the place I could submit.
Back to Playbeing, it's a good year to do it too - Colfer's new HHG novel comes out in October, there's a new "Last Chance to See" with Stephen Fry & Mark C., and I'm sure there was something else happening this year. The Dick Barton serial with Simon Jones? No, that wasn't it. I'll just look it up in this new edition of Playbei-- Hang on a minute! There isn't one...yet!
