Title : Wrong kind of paradise Author : Joans23 Paring : Dean/Jo Rating : R Words : 1658 Summary : Slight AU, Dean and Jo run away together. Jo doesn’t know Dean’s a hunter.
Yeah, you totally got it! I think mostly Jo wanted desperately to believe that her mother was wrong, even as the more she got to know Dean she began to suspect that she might not be. If that makes any sense! Thanks for the kind words!
Whoa! This was really good! I loved the writing itself; your descriptions are very striking. Especially liked the sun-tracing-the-lace-curtains bit.
I think it's a great look at Dean too, because he IS and he ISN'T that guy. His family will always come first, even if he were to let someone like Jo in enough to marry her (which was actually pretty shocking). It would be hard for any woman, to see that kind of devotion in him and not have it directed at her. Or at least, not in the same way. He left, and even if it was for a totally different reason than anyone would have thought, he still left. And broke Jo's heart in the process.
I also really love that song. What? There's nothing wrong with country. = P
Yeah, country is a little guilty pleasure of mine ;) Especially the sad stuff. My beta disagreed with my Dean in the beginning, so I had to convince her that it might not be how Dean really is, but how Ellen, and later Jo, sees him. But he had to still be the Dean we could love even after he broke Jo's heart. Thanks for the great comment!
Ah, Dean. Who can resist him? I hadn't really thought about it, in fact I was quite sure this was a one-shot, but I might play around a bit and see what I can come up with :) Thanks for reading and leaving me a comment, I really appreciate it!

Yes and no. And in such a different way as thought but the outcome is still the same.
Dean and Jo rarely really work but your writing made them real. The idea itself is very interesting and I wish there was more.

I should not write fic when I’m feeling all emo. I take it out on Dean and Jo.
Meh, if they turn out like this, I say keep writing! ;)

I love Jo's innocence and how larger-than-life Dean seems. Is there any chance you'll be writing more of this AU?
