Those icons are of Jesus, yes. He's not waving, but that's the gesture that both Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox believers know as a teaching or blessing gesture (blessing, in particular, when the Sign of the Cross is done by priests in general). Of course, in JoA, the incarnations don't always do it with just the two fingers up. I've edited my post to include more information about it. v^_~v
i never noticed that. hmmm, something to think about. whats-her-name, the woman who created the show, is catholic, so i guess it's not all that surprising she threw that in there. i so miss that show.
Yep, Barbara Hall was a new convert to Roman Catholicism when she created JoA. But, I'll have you know that those icons I've put up are also well-revered in the Eastern Orthodox Church. d^_~b
