Can I sing?

I mean that seriously. I don't know if anyone here has even ever heard me sing. See, I got asked by one of the choir members if I was interested. I told her, truthfully, that I've never sang in a group, so I don't know if I'm any good. I can read music, of course, and I try to match the note, and I know when I miss it.

You are ahead of me as I can't read music and I have no idea what any note sounds like. I use to just match the person next to me and take any direction I was given. I spent years in the choir and it was fun. I don't think I ever ruined anything so I say try it out. You will never know. Oh, I did learn one thing in case you get stuck singing soprano in "Hallelujah:" no one can hear you lip sing and if they can, no one will ever call you on it. Just be soft in practice. :)
