It's frustrating that you can't find a skin set you like. Do you have to use the complete set of default skins? Can you mix the S3 from one set with the S4 from another set, or does that hurt your game somehow?
I was coming to this conclusion last night. Some sets just have the one file for all four skins but most come with four files. Of course I've tried about five sets now and can't remember what I liked from each set! No it should be safe, it's just getting it right. I think...that sk4 on Tamara is Leah's.
I swear I have that Gypsy thing too... Must check my hacks folder, I'll get back to you on that, but I think it's part of one of the pescado fixes for not having annoying business walkbys. I may have got the answer to the gypsy on MTS. maxon says the visitor controller has it set to default to get rid of her and certain other NPC's. Now I did download that a short time ago and only placed it on one lot, but placing it may have had a game wide effect. Anyway she says that can be changed in the settings, so I'm going to look into that today

Yeah, I had a lot of too pale S1's. I like the semi-matte enalya blends by Jess, but I figured that didn't really match for you. (Plus, she needs to finish the pixie skins, she hasn't fixed my two favorites yet...)
Di's skins are pretty, though. I'm redoing my cc eyes collection sometime soon, that's going to be a major pain. (I got sick of the fact that all the sclera ones I like have that black space above... so I'm going to frankenstein my favorite three sets onto something that will allow all the game animation expressions. I need to stop collecting Bodyshop projects.)
I forgot you have that age hack. My toddlers only get 5 or 6 days (And I really should adjust the teens down for how long they have and the kids up...) and since I don't have too many in different skintones right now, I haven't been paying any special attention to them.
Oh, now I remember. Just like sim blencer and ACR, the visitor controller has some default settings, and I think no gypsy was one of them. Good. I'll fix that today (Staging! I start classes

If you don't have an age hack, your toddlers only get 4 days. Or if you do have an age hack, which one is that? Not that I want less, 8 days feels about right for me as it is spanning 4 years. Well for me it is, 1 to turning 5. So I have it worked out that 1 sim day is 6 months. Teens get aged up or sent to uni at 10 days and I've made uni 1 day shorter per term because how long they stay there is ridiculous to the rest of their lives.

Yes, I wanted skins that wern't too far away from Maxis looking, more like maxis improved. I think I've settled on some defaults for now. For sk1 to sk3 I've got some very subtle Nilou Maxis match skins with a Trapping edit that I found on trapping's Tumblr. And the sk4 one from the first Leh set that Tamara is wearing above. I might do a post and see what you all think. :)
