I'd forgotten, until watching this, that Anna had brought Bates a meal on a tray in that earlier episode. It's nice that they have both done that for each other now. Very sweet. I hope his "secret" isn't as dire as all that...

Funny, I too had forgotten she had done that, right until I was looking through for clips and thought 'wow good symetry'

I dont think his secret will be that dire. And I think no matter what it is we (the audience) will forgive him as we see him as the man he is now, not the man he once was.
