Jo's Survival Tip of the Day: Fire From Unlikely Sources:

Another quick way to make a hot, bright burning, wind and rain resistant flame with ordinary household items.

You will need: 9v battery, wire wool, tinder such as sticks, fluff, leaves etc.

Hehe, we actually used this method to bake marshmallows for smores in college a few times. Got to love the big ass batteies in the physics department.
