Am a bit worried about my mom. She still refuses to change her lifestyle drastically or accept help. Like me and my brother offered to get her a cleaning lady, but she thinks it's pointless since she's convinced she'd be redoing everything this woman would do anyway, since it wouldn't meet her standards... Hope that the results of those tests are enough to convince her. If that's not enough, it may be time to parent the parent and try to explain exactly what she is doing to herself.

It seems my stubbornness has a hereditary trait to it. :/

I think it's part of our DNA. My father was just like that and I can be just as bad.

Although I hate using it, a guilt-trip tends to work well.
