This seems to be a staggeringly useful concept. Or perhaps more accurately, a fantastic articulation of how I usually operate instinctively, and why I get so damned frustrated when people bitch without proposing an alternative solution

The second is the case of someone who truly is more knowledgeable but less physically able. I may have a good reason to know why something shouldn't be done a particular way, but if I cannot do the task, I'm not even allowed to share my knowledge. I'd have to sit down, shut up, and wait a couple months until the situation becomes critical from a problem I anticipated.
It's a great solution though for things like where to eat or what to do for the evening.

And that's not happening, because we've agreed to what I do and what he does, so there's less suffering involved. If (for instance) the dishes need to be done, I'll tell Marc about it, and he knows it's his job, so he'll get on that. I just usually notice first because they're in my way when I'm cooking.
