So, our local Top Foods is finishing up a *massive* remodel. Among other things, they're putting in a huge new prepared-foods section - sushi!, subs, antipasto, salad bar, like whoa. Every time we go in we peek at the progress in this new section, which has been largely blocked off for a couple of months now

I remember way back when it was a Mark-It foods. When you had a huge flat cart you put card board boxes on. And if we were lucky, us kids got to sit in the middle of 'em all. Of course we had to use grease markers to write the prices on things too.

Gads, it's so odd when those memories come trotting out of the back of my brain. I like the look and feel of the remodel. And the fact they carry gourmet chocolates.. mmmmmmmmmmmmm...
