Tron and on and on

Back in February I posted  this blog entry about the oncoming nerdrush of Tron Legacy, waxing lyrical about a movie from my childhood and putting my heart on my sleeve for the sequel.

James Swallow, that makes me smile like I haven't done in a long while.

I listened to the preview soundtrack yesterday and have been listening to it, on and off, since. It helps that I'm a huge DP fan anyway, but nevertheless, I think I'll have a smile on my face for a while having read this.

I only have hazily distant memories of the first one, but I caught the firrst ten minutes yesterday again and felt it unwrap around me like waking up to a warm bedroom. Most pleasingly of all, my girlfriend who's entirely unfamiliar with it all, seems to be just as thoroughly excited about it all.

I'm especially pleased to hear that its quite good, too!

BFI IMAX, or regular?

If the former, I hope you swung by Flynn's Arcade on the South Bank... The light show is worth the trip on its own.

Yeah, the BFI megadome - which, from the outside, kinda resembles the MCP complex from the original movie. I saw the HP installation - cool stuff.
