More spam?

Why am I suddenly getting spam comments from LJ users? A half dozen in the last 24 hours.

It's like LJ wants me to no longer blog here.

Is your blog listed in the LJ directory? I'm trying to figure out why your public blog gets so much more spam than mine. I only get about 2-3 spams a week.

In my settings, I have checked the boxes to minimize inclusion in search engine returns, and also unchecked the "promote on LJ's public directory". Don't know what the problem is. I've even made it so only LJ users can comment. The recent comments appear to come from spam accounts.

Does LJ at least corral them as potential spam and hide them from everyone but you like a spam filter? That's what they've been doing to the ones I get from LJ accounts.

Maybe? I haven't looked, just gone straight to the recent comment page and delete them and block the users.
