Anyone have bank recommendations, either positive or negative? BB&T has pissed me off for the last time. (In fairness, I should say that all of the customer service folk there have been polite, pleasant and as helpful as they could manage every time I've dealt with them. It's the organization itself that doesn't give a fuck.)

Stay away from Bank of America.

I don't exactly recommend joining the military or marrying someone who has solely for a USAA account, but it /is/ an option, and USAA is pretty much awesome.

M&T is not a place to go. We are planning to not go there for more than a cash account soon.

The State Employees Credit Union (SECU) has been more than fair with us--we use several of their services--and they will accept people who have done things besides work for the state, like graduated from a MD State University.

PNC Bank get a wee bit of business from me--that's my PayPal account. But every time I've had to deal with them in person as well as online, they've been good to work with.
