Last weekend, I brought along some old issues of the Scrabble Players newsletter to read on the way to Vermont. I gave scrabblek8 an issue from 1979 because I accidentally collected two of that same issue from two different players who were giving them away. Roger Wiegand is drbing's dad. My friend had both of Dave's parents for professors at the University of Nebraska.

In 1986, Dave would have been 12, so that probably computes. Interesting fact that fell out from google and that Dave's parents were profs at UNebraska: WiegandFest is *real*.
