Isn't he cute? And yes, we got the vest just recently because we were afraid he might panic if he came boating with us and fell in.

Yikes, 21 hours! We were lucky to 'only' loose it for 12. The worst part was having to stay out of the water during the thunderstorms, so it was hard to keep busy.

When I got back, the power had been out here too - just long enough to cause everything in the fridge to go off - the smell was incredible.

I'm kind of jealous. I'd really like to rough it a little without electricity or internet. Obviously, that will happen on the odd day or so this summer as I have the worst electric company where I live. But it wouldn't have the festive feel of doing it with a nice group of people. Alas, my California friends aren't the type. The next time time I'm in PA, I'd like to spend a few days camping.

The heat's not bad where I am. We've only had a few hot days. :)

Loosing the power is kind of nice when you have to scramble for other stuff to do - until sundown when you just can't see well.
