This is adorable. What a beautiful job!

I admit that I never shipped Chlark even in the early seasons. I really enjoyed Clark with Lana in the early days and I guess I just never felt like Clark was ever going to love Chloe the way she loved him....so I just couldn't ever truly root for them to be together. Plus, I'll be totally honest, I'm a mythos Superman fan through and through....so once Lois Lane was on the show....there was never going to be anyone else for me. And you know...I admit that. But, all that being said, I was so glad that Clark had Chloe as his friend during that time of his life when he was so lonely and felt so isolated. That scene in the graveyard at the end of "Pariah" is one of my fave Chloe moments ever on the show.

Thank you! I agree about the scene in Pariah - one of the loveliest Chloe moments ever. I could see the two of them having a college romance circa season 6 - would have definitely preferred that to Clexana and the oh so unnecessary (to me) return to Clana in season 7. But I don't think it would have worked long term - the emotions were a bit too one sided.

I think that was the key for me as well. I knew that if Clark and Chloe dated things were eventually going to end because it just never seemed like he was going to love her to the same degree that she loved him. And I wanted more for both of them than that. Chloe deserved to be with someone who literally looked at her like she was the most beautiful. incredible creature on the planet. She deserved to have a man who looked at her the way that Clark looked at Lana and now looks at Lois. She deserved to be someone's #1---not their backup plan. And Clark, for his part, deserved better too. He deserved to spend his life with someone that made him dumbstruck with love. He deserved to marry his #1. So, in the end, I'm glad that they stayed friends so that Chloe never had to get hurt like that ( ... )
