Day 15 - Best comic book hero introduction to Smallville
There are a lot of really good introductions to choose from here, including Bart in Run, Victor in Cyborg, Green Arrow in S6 (I loved him back then!),  and Rokk in Legion. But I'll go with Dr. Fate in Society, because his powers were awesome, his words to Lois and Clark were thrilling, and he ( Read more... )

The other outstanding montage that's not music related is Covenant, with Lionel getting his hair cut while his plans for revenge play out.

That whole end bit blew me away. The way Lionel sits there smirking while getting prepped for prison, and everything happens to everyone else, leaving the audience craving more and resolution and wondering how everything will play out... So excellent. Isn't there opera playing over it? I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember thinking it was perfect.

It was Mozart's Requiem - very appropriate with all the people who looked to be dying. The wheel sure turned decisively that episode, even if I never understood what the AI thought it was accomplishing with the whole mess. And leaving Jonathan in a coma was just spiteful.

I couldn't agree more about Dr. Fate. And the thing about his death is that I wanna be mad because Kent Nelson isn't coming back, but his sacrifice was so epic that I can't be upset with Johns for it. And thank you for the rec :D

It was seeing your post with the cover art and your reasons for choosing that character that made the choice so easy. Bart was the only one who came close, and his character will be forever tarnished by the Doomsday debacle.

There were always hints of Shelby's trans-gendering and speciesing tendencies.
I think the fact that Clark proposed to him/her in Promise is what confused subsequent writers.

I think that music was Mozart's Requiem.
You're right - I knew it was Mozart but couldn't place the specific piece. Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) indeed!

I agree that there have been a lot of cool comic book character intros. I haven't seen 'Society' yet, but from what I've heard, I'm really excited for Dr. Fate!

I love that dog and really can't choose!
Shelby is really made of WIN! I wish we saw him more often. :D

Love the end montages you chose too. I think I'm one of the few Cloisers who actually thought Clark made the right decision in 'Infamous', and I was also totally in love with the song 'Dreamer'. 'Don't Take Your Love Away' was a great song too.

Apparently filming with animals takes a long time so that's why Shelby's presence is limited. But I miss him/her.

And I see we both agree about 'Don't Take Your Love Away' - such a great song and some really beautiful imagery to go with it.
