appeal for a sold book (updated)

Nov 04, 2009 14:32

Before Janet and I moved to Singapore in March 2007, I sold or gave away almost a thousand of my books to lighten the load and set free the ones I didn't think I would read again. More than a few of them I have regretted letting go, and every so often I reach for a book I think I still own. However, I find myself now really missing my copy of The Read more... )

If you could use pdf copies of SF stories let me know and I'll send some your way.

From the Norton book or elsewhere? If elsewhere, I may take you up on that. Do I have your email address?

Elsewhere. I've had to scan a whole bunch for the SF class I'm teaching now, and I figure I might as well save someone else the time & trouble. But alas, I don't have your email.

Could you find another copy from another source?

Actually, Andrew above, to whom I sold the book originally, is mailing it to me. And yeah, I could have found another copy, but it wouldn't be the same one I used in Kessel's SF survey course and took around to get signed by a bunch of the contributors.

I think that's one of the last ones I'd part with. I've been getting mine signed...hmmmm...whenever I remember. Glad to see you're getting it back!

Me too. I regretted giving it up, but I knew Andrew would take good care of it. And now he's nice enough to send it back.
