Sadly, both boxed sets of season 1 and season 2 of The Tick are each lacking an episode. From what I've heard on the rumor mill, they're tied up in litigation. (And no wonder -- the first episode features the Mole Men!)

Ah, really? I may have to pick those up, since I'm about to get a DVD player that is hackable to play all regions (mainly so I can get unedited Quantum Leap DVDs from the UK). If all else fails, I also have all the episodes recorded from television, which I copied from my VHS tapes to DVDs, if you're interested in a low-budget (ie. free) way to revisit the show. :)

Very cool about your uncle. I loved the music on that show!

Me too! One of my favorite bits is when The Tick and Arthur have been captured by Chairface, and are hanging suspended over a pit of alligators, and The Tick gets an idea and shouts, "Swing with me Arthur! Swing!" and then big band swing music starts up in the background. It cracks me up every time.
