Are you going off the drugs completely or just reducing your dose? And are you eliminating all the drugs you're taking or just some of them? Just curious since for me I'll always be taking drugs with the goal of maintaining the status quo and keeping me from going into full-fledged flares (oooh alliteration!). Then I get to temporarily add crappy drugs like steroids if I do go into a flare to get that back under control and then get off those as quick as possible.

I'm going off the Cymbalta completely, because I'm at the lowest dose possible (and it comes only in capsule form, pooh.) The nortriptylene is supposed to keep me from going completely nuts while going through cymbalta withdrawal ... but then she says that there isn't really a withdrawal problem with the 2nd drug.

1 week of no Cymbalta at all ... if it's still awful after 7 days, I'm probably going to break the capsule, put it in applesauce, and only eat half the applesauce. They should make smaller dose size pills when it's a medicine that is notorious for having bad withdrawal symptoms!

I started seeing the Cymbalta commercials again today, out of the blue. "WHO does depression hurt? WHERE does depression hurt?" That commercial drives me nuts :)
