I love that Elias trusts his instincts enough to question the earpods (and how ridiculous everyone looked wearing them...I mean, really!) I'm happy to finally see this during their personal timeline, and see that they were together through it all.

I think people look ridiculous wearing Bluetooth earpieces, and can only boggle at the idea of wearing anything like earpods. So naturally Elias shares this opinion ;)

Somehow in all of the happy fluffiness of this piece, I forgot that this was going to have to show up in some form or another. Thank goodness both Ruby and Elias didn't like the earpods!! GREAT chapter!!

I always remember this falls at the end of the story, but it *still* catches me by surprise when I hit this chapter. Poor Ruby! Poor Elias!

And this is why you are brilliant. I was so lulled by their life and how easy they were with each other I'd completely forgotten what world they live in. So much so that it took a second to realize why the ear buds being mentioned made me cringe. Then the whole thing came rushing back-and knowing what was coming I felt so bad for them.

It was like being able to see a time line and not being able to do anything about it. Fixed point and all. Then there was this passing sadness for Rose and the Doctor and what's to come... but PETER. And Peter and Rose and Peter and Elias!

You've flawlessly created a story within both Who and Rose and Peter's world with characters just as compelling.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to writing this bit (well, more particularly, the next chapter). It was always there at the back of my mind--that Ruby and Elias would have to survive this particular event.

Then there was this passing sadness for Rose and the Doctor and what's to come... but PETER. And Peter and Rose and Peter and Elias!

Just a few years to go, and Elias and Peter and Ruby will all meet in Glasgow. *g*

wow, I totally forgot about the cybermen thing. I find it totally conceivable that people would blame just the ear pods. I imagine the whole truth about lumic and the cybermen takes a bit longer to come out, and then for people to deal with that.

Elias' distrust of the ear pods also makes me wonder about Peter and how he managed to survive. Will we ever get to see they cybermen attack from his perspective? I suppose it would be quite angsty in the post attack/natalie death fall out sense..hmm.

Although it is Monday, I'm declaring it spring because daylight happened before I had to wake up. Whooo!

And that assumes the complete truth actually makes it out for public consumption.

Hmmmm...I'd not thought about writing that bit of Peter's life. I suspect Peter survived because he--in a fit of pique--locked away his mobile and ear pods after Natalie left him. But I also suspect that Kendal really wasn't hit as hard: The folks up there are too down-to-earth to see any real merit to wearing the darn things.
