And what a lovely bright spot it was!!! I liked the sneaky introduction of Cunningham, and I adore Elias, even when he is trying to backtrack and thinking he screwed up in asking her too soon. LOVELY CHAPTER!!!

Oh, no! *sends juice and tea*
I liked the sneaky introduction of Cunningham
I couldn't resist!
I adore Elias, even when he is trying to backtrack and thinking he screwed up in asking her too soon.
That proposal gave me an absolute fit--I just couldn't work it out. But after worrying it over (mentally, and over e-mail with ginamak), I finally got it to click. Phew!

I was neutral on Ephraim before this but now I love him.
I like that he took her to the coast to propose since it nicely mirrors their first date. And I kind of like that they then got totally rained on because that's completely honest and gives them a better story to tell their grandkids in the long run. Poor Elias, second guessing himself when he really didn't have to. (And that's not from knowing them in later stories, but simply how they are now.)
Hope you're having a snow day and are safe off the roads.

That was one of those things where I didn't go into it thinking he'd appear; but now I can't imagine it working out any other way. There *had* to be a reason he trusted Elias and Ruby so completely, after all.

There's enough sunshine and rainbows when they're together, I think--actual sunshine really isn't necessary. At least, not all of the time. I do think it would be fun to write a fic where they're at the shore and there's actually sun, just because I feel like I really don't give them a *lot* of sun in this fic!
Hope you're having a snow day and are safe off the roads. My employer is closed today, so I've spent my time puttering and doing cleaning and then puttering some more. The roads remain horrifying; and so I've got chili slowly simmering away. I hope you're enjoying a snow day yourself--and that you're prepared for the next snow event ( ... )

Hurrah for being caught up! And now there are only seven to go...
I love their whirlwind romance
Whirlwind from Ruby's side, to be sure. But for poor Elias, it's been almost three long years. Poor woobie!
