I hadn't even realized it *needed* to be done, until the two of them started having that conversation. And then I was like, "Oh! Now I have all *sorts* of ideas!". Bless them.

totally thought for a second it was the one under st martin in the fields *remebers their soup fondly*
“I know.” Her voice was very soft, and he glanced up to find her staring at his hands. He was surprised when her gaze flicked up to meet his. “I’m very sorry.”
*huggles them*
He tossed his coat across the back of the ratty sofa he had used to split the room in half,
hey, I didn't even have a sofa at the last two places I lived, be grateful for that McCoy.
Just two more days, and he’d be picking Ruby up at her flat. He couldn’t wait.
something's going to go horribly wrong isn't it? *goes to read happy Peter/Rose fic to cushion the bubble popping*
That said, yay for them communicating and being delightfully cute! heh I wonder when Elias will tell her about not liking Eli...though given some dialogue in later stories, maybe he learns to like it from her?

Not quite. It is, however, quite a real place--and it has the most *amazing* Chicken Tikka. *misses good London-y chicken tikka*

I think Elias's penchant for stretching out on hard wood floors horrified his aunt and uncle (even if it amused their children). So the sofa was sort of pressed upon him. ;)

I'd *never*!!!

He definitely learns to love the nickname--but pretty much only from Ruby. Peter gets away with it once that I can think of, but he otherwise knows better.

I think I should very much like to see Peter learning that Eli is a Ruby nick name *snerk* I'm sure it's less funny and/or exciting than my imagination is making it out to be.

I actually found a microwavable version of it yesterday. If I'm feeling brave, I'll try it tonight. Because OMG so much love for Chicken Tikka (UK edition *g*)

I strongly suspect a long, steady stare and the words "Don't do that" factor into it.
