*squees* You have made me very, very happy this month with all the Nine/Rose fic. I grinned my way through all the banter but totally lost it at:

“It’s populated by tourists. And not the sweet kind from Mars-the mean sort from New York.”

Dunno why, it just struck me as something that would be utterly true in the Doctor's lexicon and had me giggling away. And I loved Rose complimenting/insulting his swim trunks! Perfect way to end it. I don't suppose we'll get their day on the beach? *bats eyes hopefully*

*g* Poor Nine--I'm sure he was wondering why it was Rose wasn't commenting on his trunks (chosen, no doubt, out of a combination of obliviousness and preening that only Nine could pull off).

Not in the pool, no, never. Just...other places....

The gaudy colours of his trunks stood out against the muted blue-tinged white of the bottom of the pool

Leopard-colored, by any chance?

Oh, now there's a thought! Rose astride a leopard....as the Doctor looks longingly on....maybe that's why he decided to join her in the pool, he was jealous of the leopard?

Ha! I'd actually forgotten about this fic! Love it, especially now that I've recently been swimming. It's all even more vivid.

Oh that was delightful! You have their banter down so perfectly. I agree with amberfocus. We need to see their day at the beach.
