This was a lovely surprise tonight!! I always love the Professor Peter & Rose, but it was even more fun with the history & the link about the castle!

So sweet that he is telling her stories his mum doesn't even know!

I figured it was far, far better to post early, than late ;)

I think there are quite a few innocuous secrets, like this one, which Peter keeps from his mum. *g*

My inbox chimed just as I was about to shut down for the night

I was wondering if I'd catch you before you went to bed!

And oh, that castle

Oh yes. I'm actually quite upset that we arrived too late to tour it.

Over £100 a pair, those are! *g

LOL. I think those were probably hand-me-downs from Martin, or purchased at Oxfam.

They'd almost sever a limb and still avoid going to the doctor

Oh yes. Silly, silly creatures.

Ooooh, blackmail. Eeeeeeeexcellent

Smart Rose is Smart. ;)

"It's fine, really. I'll just use some butterfly bandages."

"What?"

"You. Are bleeding."

"Oh, that? It's fine."

Eheheheehehe!!! YAY!!!

Isn't it just like them? To cover up their mishaps with... a beard? XD; Or rather, something so they don't have to share the wounded pride. <3

Loved it.

“How about…”
“I tell you…”
“Later?”

Um, yes please. It's like the least secret weapon ever.

he gently began to run his hand up and down her arm.

The thinky thoughts manoeuver.

“So, a book leap up and do this?”

*snicker*

I was probably concussed, but it never occurred to me to have that looked at.

Ya think? Part of the problem with a concussion is that you're not exactly operating at top speed. Because you've *bruised your brain*. Daft man indeed. Did he also spend those days avoiding Graeme and Erlys (sp?)? I bet they would have dragged him to a hospital. They're in the alt verse, aren't they?

A lovely read before bed. Thanks!

It's like the least secret weapon ever.

Is it a weapon if Rose willingly consents? ;)

Did he also spend those days avoiding Graeme and Erlys (sp?)?

Yes, Graeme and Eirlys exist in the alt!verse; but when Peter thwacked his head, they were out of town. Lucky for him--Graeme would totally have busted him for it.

Oh how wonderful -- and damn you because now I'm reading through all your stories from this particular alt!alt!verse and I can't stop reading! (And now I have to go back and finish your other alt!verse stories, too.)

I particularly love this Peter. I do hope you get bitten to write more.

Um...I'm sorry? Ok, not really *g* I hemmed and hawed about posting this to T_L, but I'm really glad I finally bit the bullet and did so. And, of course, I'm *very* glad you're enjoying the alt!alt!Stories.

I particularly love this Peter.

The fine professor was, in large part, inspired by a few of the promo shots from E&E; it was the tweed that did it, I think. ;) But I found that the character just...blossomed, really, as I wrote him--ditto this version of Rose--and I've spent many enjoyable hours writing the two of them. And I have no doubt I'll be writing some more of their story!
