I just love those last lines! They're so typical of these two... even if they're in completely different circumstances!

Yes, just so! Peter and Rose are still Peter and Rose, even if they've lived very different lives.

Oh joy! To come home to this is sooo nice. I guess I never mentioned how impressed I am by your handling the lovemaking-scenes. It's so hard to do them justice, and when I read yours they seem so effortlessly done and natural. What's with her scars? *goes back to the first story to make sure she hasn't missed something*

*blushes* Thank you.

What's with her scars?

Things in Kendal went very, very differently for Rose and the team. She was almost killed.

*flails with excitement*

Another "what if" story with Prof Peter and Desk!Jockey Rose! Thank you! Thank you so much! Your first story completely captivated me. If you'd started in this 'verse I'd have been just as much of an addict as I am with TWOT 'verse. I realy do hope you write more - you did say you've got a million more ideas! ;-)

I'm glad you enjoyed this particular little bunny!

I'd say I was sorry, but I'm really not. ;)

I did say I wouldn't feed them after midnight though, whistles innocently.

whooo! alright, now that my brain has slightly recovered from prof Peter smut, I'll attempt to coherently comment.

Interesting to compare similarities and differences to the Things verse. I'm especially struck by the change in timidity between the two of them. of course, they're jumping into the physical side of things a lot quicker than the non alts. Even so, it's interesting to see the effect a doctor/peter free life has had on Rose (at least she found him eventually). good to see she's so forgiving for the year of miscommunication. I'm curious to know if this would drastically change the dynamics of their future relationship, in comparison to things verse. Peter's a lot more vunerable, but here I think it's Rose that's the one in need of convincing her of her self worth at times.

I like this alt verse a lot. Ultimately, I think I'm more attached to Things verse, but this alternate view of things is intriguing indeed. Thanks for posting and giving us even more Friday joy :)

This version of Peter is so much more confident in himself--and of course that extends to the bedroom. His wife was one lucky woman, just as Rose is one lucky woman.

No, I don't think so. They learn things in a different order, but the end result is still the same.

Absolutely.

but this alternate view of things is intriguing indeed.

Oh, I find it absolutely fascinating. I can't stop pondering various aspects and scenarios!

oh... but the one place, other than as a detective, that Peter is sure of himself is in bed... and so in this way he is very much like Prof!Peter :) and we are all thankful *every* *single* day that he is :)
