Part One | Part Two
Rose was horribly weak from the birth; he’d spoken with the midwife the day after, and had been gravely told that Rose had lost a terrible amount of blood, and that it had been a very near thing indeed. Rose grew stronger every day, and certainly seemed able to be up and about now that two weeks had passed, but he was still

There are so many things that I love about this. Sadly, I am still swamped and can't do an in-depth review. I swear, after today the academia hell is over, and I'll have some time. Meanwhile, here's a quick summation of my biggest squee moments:
Gaelic--Rose said it first!
the 200 million adorable Peter loving Rose and Lucy moments
Annie is there! We finally got introduced!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for providing a lovely, happy mini-break in my all-nighter.

Gaelic--Rose said it first!
That she did--Rose has learned enough to get by on--or to drive Peter to make crazy love to her, pre-pregnancy.
Annie is there! We finally got introduced!
Annie is always there--it's just I finally put her into a ficlet ;)
Good luck with the final finals!!!

"He walked over to her, pulled a chair alongside. As their daughter had her fill, he quietly told Rose of how happy he was, how happy she had made him-what she meant to him. Rose’s gaze was full of love as she listened, as she in turn told him just how much she loved him, what he had done for her. It was perhaps the single most perfect moment of his life, he reflected, as they ended by gazing at each other in silence."
It's a great moment, but I've seen you write some amazing conversations between Peter and Rose, and this felt like a missed opportunity.
That's the only thing I can see that I would change. The rest is stellar.

I am, however, very glad that you enjoyed the rest of the story! :)

"He’d spent hours holding her, gazing at her; memorizing every feature of her small face, staring awestruck as one of her small hands wrapped around his finger"
*melts*
"His memories of the delivery resurfaced, fear clutching his stomach. He didn’t want to risk losing Rose again."
poor Peter! she's really going to have to talk him through his fears before they try again.
"“Our days of carefree snogging and shagging have come to an end,” he said with mock regret."
A travesty! Maybe they can get Jake and Mickey to do some babysitting ;)
" he continued to hold Lucy as though she might protect him from the interlopers"
silly Peter, he must know that holding the baby is only going to serve as a people magnet ;)

She really is. Rose, I think, is going to be driven near-insane by Peter's vigilance in using protection once they start having sex again. They're going to have to have a pretty serious talk before they start trying for child number two.

Especially given that it's *Peter* holding the baby.

I wonder how many pinching 'aunts' Peter had to defend little Lucy's cheeks from...

OK, this was possibly the sweetest Thing EVER! I love Peter's nervousness and the fact that the only things he can focus on are Rose and Lucy. And I LOVE the last bit :)
