The best and brightest of London society had been invited, and the white-tie ( Read more... )

This is so sweet. Peter would be such a fun dad and Jackie is adorable. But the Mystery of What's Under Carlisle's Kilt must be solved immediately. Quick! Get the leaf blower!

Heh. Oh, I think we *all* know what's under that kilt. Or not under it, as the case may be.

I nearly keeled over at the word 'kilt' - GUH!

I love their teasing and flirting, and how Rose (very sneakily) used it to help Peter relax and forget about the press.

Excellent as always, and I can't wait for part 2!!

I really need to shift that BAFTA pic over here, so folks know roughly what Peter looks like in this fic...

*g*

Over their two years--and many Vitex functions--together, Rose has learned how to distract Peter enough to get him to relax. Granted, it invariably involves teasing him, but whatever works. ;)

Oooooh, yes- I know I have a copy of that pic somewhere (to drool over, of course) but everyone should be able to gaze upon the sight of David Tennant in a kilt.

*thinks it over and swoons*

jsojfksldkjd! Kilt!

I'm torn between going *guh* and yelling Poor Peter! can I do both at once? yet again you've managed to weave so many elements of their relationship into one evening.

I like the public/private dichotomy of this. They've spent so long keeping their relationship private, letting it slowly build on their own. Now everyone else is suddenly getting a look at this relationship in a so much more fully developed form.

I loved Cheeky!Jackie, though that was a bit mean of her to leave him to the hordes. You did say we'd be getting part 2 on Thursday, right?

As ever, thank you for writing and posting these lovely things

Kilt! Directly I finish replying to this, I'll provide a link to the picture I used as a reference. Of course, it's also listed in "Pictures of Things", off to the left... Just in case you wanted some pretty.

Exactly. Peter's not a terribly public creature in the best of circumstances--but now, to be thrust into the spotlight, and for something that's so intensely personal to him? *Not* a fun night for Peter. Good thing Rose is there to keep him distracted. Mostly

Part Two will go up on Thursday. Oh yes. Smut-o-rama, that chapter.

Nah, I'll not keep you guessing. You'll meet him eventually--especially as he and I are becoming very good friends these days.

Once we get The Publicity Still in a cleaner form (to distinguish it from That Picture), rest assured its inherent scruffitude will be put to Peter-y uses!
