Now…I do feel a bit of guilt about this one. I wrote it yesterday afternoon in a bit of an escapist frenzy; I sent it over to EGT, hoping that she might be able to beta it so I could post it today-Thursday, the usual day for second chapters. I, ah…well, I kind of bullied her into beta-ing it, truth be told. Which was very mean of me, as she

Yeah. I...I might have a thing for that blasted suit, myself.

After readng this fic, I don't find it that surprising ;0)

I swear to you, I *didn't*. Not until I had to sit down and start beta-ing EGT's story.

And hot, hot, hot!
Trouble is now I won't ever be able to look at pics of DT in said suit without imagining this happening ;D
Wow!

This really was done spur-of-the-moment. I had time yesterday afternoon, I needed the therapy of writing smutty fluff...et voila!

Oh! the horror. ;)

He really is quite the 'perfect Peter' even with his quirks.
I was thinking that Peter doesn't know about Bad Wolf yet (I may need to go reread everything to be sure..oh darn the hardship) but I'd like to know what he thought of that, and now I can't get the music from Peter and the Wolf out of my head!

Far be it from me to keep you from re-reading--but Peter *hasn't* been told about Bad Wolf--at least, not in any of the stories I've written. . That's the Last Big Secret between these two; it's the one I've not yet written, because I'm still trying to work out how and when Rose would tell him. He definitely knows by the time they get married; he probably *doesn't* know at this point.
Again, I'm working on that one. ;)

Gah! Make the Prokofiev stop!

Would you prefer Saint-Saens' 'Carnival of the Animals'? XD

If you folks are having a week like I am, I think we *all* could use a Thursday treat. :)
I shall never be able to look at DT in the red velvet suit without my mind going straight to the gutter.
Surely EGT and I weren't the only ones to look at DT in that suit, and immediately imagine what it must be like to run our hands over it? With him *in* it?

Amen to that.

Not by a long shot ;0)

Rose Tyler--providing vicarious wish-fulfilment for the velvet-suit-loving masses. ;)

So evocative, truly compelling and such a hooking read! I savoured each and every chapter not wanting the story to end but the promise of all the ficlets after kept me going! :) I adore how the case that both Peter and Rose were investigating was not just a sub-plot, it was part of the main plot and the fact that Rose and Peter's relatonship did not overshadow it. You have the most exquisite balance for those type of things.
As for the idea of Peter/Rose, it truly is fantastic! They work so incredibly well.
And this velvet suit? I have such a weakness for Mr Tennant in some good ol' velvet - it's lush! And I completely agree with Rose, it is extremely strokeable. I think that's the main reason for his wearing so much! :P
I applaud your fantastic work and just want to say that I could sit here re-reading this whole TWoT verse for aeons. So, ( ... )

And thank you again. I set out to write something that I'd want to read--not knowing that it would take over my life and own my soul. However--I do love the universe dearly, and am always happy to hear that others enjoy it just as much!

YES!! EGT and I are convinced that he wears that suit, knowing full well that women (and men) look at him in it and *immediately* want to stroke it. Clever, clever DT.
Thank you again for the lovely, lovely comment--it's been a delight reading it this rainy Thursday morning. And of *course* you can friend the fic journal (but thank you for asking anyway)!
Cheers!

The thought of Peter/Rose as a pairing didn't even cross my mind before - incredibly silly of me, I know! And I'm so glad that you thought of something like this! Peter Carlisle has to be my favourite character that DT has played - after the Doctor - and there's such a hidden depth to him, that you've filled so wonderfully. Carlisle has the little scruffy, velvet-covered, and orally fixated part of my heart. :P

Oh ho, he's a cheeky one that Mr Tennant. He knows exactly what to do to turn us all into simpering, whimpering messes. ♥ :)
No, thank you! :)

There's something about Peter that's incredibly compelling. And, while I adore Ten, Peter's the character who resonates with me the most; he's certainly the DT role I love the most. No slight on Ten ;) And I wish I could take credit for originating the idea of Peter and Rose, but I can't--others, including chicklet73, have done it earlier, and very well indeed. I just kind of...ran towards the pool and did a cannonball into the deep end on that particular idea.
I've friended you back, btw. Next ficlet will be up bright and early (my time) Monday morning!!
