He’d awoken that morning as content as he could ever remember, Rose curled next to him under the duvet. He’d had no grand plans for the trip north, had just known she needed a break, and he wanted her to himself for a bit. He’d been astonished to rediscover the day before, just how very much he loved her, as though he’d somehow forgotten the

I love this!! Sweet without so much sugary goodness ones left with the shakes, and we start from Peter's pov. /falls over dead from luv. And then the promise of at least 3 or four more little fics from this point. You are amazing....I think the thing I enjoy about this the most is having grown up being a large fan of Cinderella (albeit it's a slight role reversal here) I love romances. Yeah, I'm just a big sap /sniff. Thanks for feeding the romantic in me.
I'll email later when it won't take me 30 mins to type a paragraph :)

I'm a total sucker for romance--and so of *course* Peter and Rose's wedding would be romantic, in spite of it being an elopement! And, of course, I'm happy to help feed other romantic souls. ;)
Roommate is on a cleaning binge--I suppose I ought to go help. Have a fun day!

-I adore the way that Peter appreciates Jackie. As terrifying as she might be to certain Time Lords, she really loves her family and Peter deserves a Jackie in his life. And I think she'll appreciate Peter's keeping-Rose-happy agenda.
-Poor Peter! Peter wants to give Rose everything she deserves, even though he's not quite a Vitex king. Though he has the money, I imagine it's quite like seeing the total due on a student loan bill.
-I'm glad they eloped, before some tabloid labels him the next K.Fed. (P.Carl?). Not that anyone that sees him could think keeping Peter Carlisle in luxury would ever be a bad thing...
-I can't wait to read the content of the engravings. Something else to look forward to.
-"It's real..." "Shall we, Mrs. Carlisle." Awwwwwwwwwwwwww......

*g* It's "Spring Cleaning Day" around chateau jlrpuck.

YES! Jackie's bark is infinitely worse than her bite, and her attitude towards the Doctor stems from her caring so much about her daughter. Peter's taken the time and care to get to know Jackie, to take her seriously; and he and his mother-in-law are definitely at a place of mutual respect and friendship. And he absolutely deserves to have a Jackie in his life!

Indeed! The only other time he's spent a huuuge amount of money in one go is when he bought his house, so this is a bit of a shock for him. Totally worth it, in his mind--but still a shock.
I can't wait to read the content of the engravings. Something else to look forward to.
I have a good idea now rattling around my head, specific to addressing this....I just have to write it.

Oh, I love this. So much. So, so, so much. This much fluff ought to have me in diabetic shock, but I'm absolutely contented. This is so sweet and gorgeous, it really is.
I still want a Peter of my vewwy own. *G*

I've asked EGT more times than I can count "Is this too fluffy? Too sweet? Too schlocky?" Because I live in permanent fear of becoming nothing *but* a fluff writer. Not that that's a bad thing--it's just that my inner cynic won't allow it. So...yeah. This *is* fluffy, but also so very Peter and Rose that I couldn't help myself. ;)
Have a safe drive home!
