Tomorrow, 9/7/11, Justice League International #1 will be released.
If you haven't already seen it, Comic Book Resources has a five-page preview
here.
This post can serve as our discussion post, and I'm sure our sister community boostle will have one as well.
I also wanted to make this post so we can have a last goodbye to the old series.
I'm sure by now most of you have seen things circulating on various sites, other blogs, people's Tumblrs. If you haven't, let me ruin (the rest of) your day.
According to Dan Didio, Justice League International in its original incarnation never existed, nor did one of her founding members.
Ted Kord does not, nor has he ever existed in the current, Brand New DC Universe.
I am guessing neither did Scott and Barda Free. Or Dmitri Pushkin. The jury's out on the Dibnys but I wouldn't hold much hope. L-Ron and G'nort? Hell, they wouldn't even acknowledge G'nort before the reboot. Not even Captain and Mary Marvel made it out unscathed. If they're lucky, they'll end up on Earth-Two with the Justice Society.
It's very likely that Generation Lost is no longer considered canon and the relationships established in that series are now forfeit as well.
Let's come together as a community right now. Let's talk. Let's cry. Let's remember why we love these comics. Let's be angry together. Let's make outlandish theories about Booster's Canadian citizenship.
Let's all go to Warrior's and raise a glass for Justice League International. For our team.
