Moving took me mostly offline for about a week between days dedicated to packing/unpacking, the move itself, and that gap between when you move and when you can get the cable hooked up, but I'm back and mostly caught up! Being offline is the worst, seriously, especially when you also don't have TV.

What fandoms are you excited/hope show up on Yuletide this year? (Not necessarily what you requested, but what underrated fandoms you think might show up and make you happy to see them)

I love the "Clio explains it all" tag, btw.

And the Carla moodtheme reminds me that I haven't gotten a chance to see her on The Chew yet. Have you managed to catch any of that?

I usually use this tag for like, media industry posts where I'm yammering away about something or other.

I hope there are some books, because book fandoms are always fun. I hope Community makes the cut. (I'm amazed that Castle doesn't.) I am nominating Pan Am. I hope there's like, always that weird pile of stuff I never would have thought of but I'm glad it's there, like when I kept asking for X the Owl and Henrietta Pussycat. All my old requests have been taken care of over the years, so I don't even know what I'm going to ask for this year!

I have not and when you asked this question I meant to put it on the DVR just to see! Now I'll have to put it on for next week. DVR also means I can ff through Mario, who irritates me.

1. I think it's awesome that you filled your phone with just lady singers. I've been trying to hunt out more of them and, yeah, unless I go to the effort to deliberately play their music, it seems that all we listen to in our household is indie white boys. Which, yes, I do love indie white boys, but diversity is nice too.

2. I have come to hate Genius with a passion over the past year. I've recently switched to throwing new songs onto my iphone as a group of mixed tapes/albums/whatever you call them when they're just a bunch of mp3s put together under a new album name - and, well, Genius just can't deal with it. ALL of the other metadata is accurate, but Genius will return no matches every time.

3. I haven't listened to Berlin in forever, and that should be rectified.

4. I finally got the chance to start reading your stbb and it's WONDERFUL and I can't wait to finish except I really don't want to finish yet because then it's done and finished.

What's the new apartment like? I've got such strong memories of hanging out in your old flat, even though it was only twice, and I really hope I get the chance to make it back out to the east coast and see you again!

Man it is HUGE. It's more than twice the size of the studio you were in. It's a very large two bedroom on a nice street in a nice neighborhood, so we're really pleased. It's a floor-through, second floor of a smallish house, with a tiny bedroom and then a sitting room at either end, and a kitchen and dining room in the middle. A very pleasant place!

Man, I had a thought on this the other day and then I forgot it. But when I got your question I had just watched the last episode of Castle, a little behind, and god, I just ... I adore them. The AV Club recapper refers to them as "the two boring cops" and I just feel that he is perhaps not the best person to be recapping this show.
