HIMYM was good, but I'm finding Zoe kind of boring because we know she's not around for long and it doesn't work out. IDEK. Barney. <3 And yay for Lily coming back!
Dude. H5O. How is it even real? ♥ THEIR LOVE IS SO PURE!
I've never found Zoe to be a compelling character. They did a better job with Victoria--even though I wanted Ted and Robin to get together, I really liked the time he was with Victoria. And even though I knew Robin wasn't the mother, I enjoyed their time dating. And the same with Stella too. But Zoe's always been, as my mother would say, a pill.
Oh AND, god, poor Barney! He's so emotional age of five.
H50, I don't even know. I need to have a convo with you about that actually--more the fandom than the show. I have all these ancient misgivings about Slash Fandoms of the Nanosecond and anything that feels BNF-centered, but that might just be a knee-jerk thing on my part.
I agree with pretty much everything here ("and then he starts clog dancing" sums up Justified so hard--not the whole show, but the icing on the delicious cake that is that show). I loved that Britta outed Troy because *of course* she had to do that. Because Britta wants so much to be a good person...unfortunately she wants it even more than she wants to help people and be respectful. So no way could she pass up the dramatic announcement about how she's been helping Troy with his private pain all this time
( ... )

SO TRUE. Britta has some perspective and priority problems, just like Jeff. The class calling Troy a loser was hilarious! It reminded me of the way they react to Jeff saying he's agnostic, with the moans and the paper ball tossing.
I loved how Jeff's toast at the party totally was half "I have saved my friend from an industrial spy" and half "now I can calm down that a woman would be more attracted to Pierce than to me."
I also thought that while Annie and Shirley were a bit sidelined, the show gave them a little more to do than other episodes where they've been mostly absent, like maintaining Annie as Jeff's conscience.
LOL! That just makes me remember my favorite line was one of Shirleys when she said one day Pierce would run out of ways to shock people...[Pierce walks in and announces his engagement]...but today was not that day.
Although she didn't phrase it that way because she's not a nerd. But it was still pretty great.
Honestly, when people complain about Jeff I always wonder why because this show is so much about taking the piss out of "cool" people. Sometimes I think their kneejerk reaction to him makes them miss that about him and Britta too.
I can see some geeksters not liking this show because Jeff seems like that guy who was an asshole to them, but the show is about his growth as a person or whatever, so feh to that.
And Britta, it seems like people hate her precisely because she talks the talk and not so much with walking the walk and they can't forgive her for that. People are very unforgiving with female characters because they need to feel represented by them. It's tiresome!
