I would love if 11 were a PoC or a woman or both! :D

And that is really dumb of the Avatar people. Is M. Night whats-his-face directing?? Isn't he Asian?

He is Indian American! And his young daughter's desire to dress up as Katara is what alerted him to the show's existence in the first place. Which, given this turn of events, is horrifically depressing!

As someone who is, sorta, a genre fan, this shit harshes my squee, too. I'd love to be able to just sit back and enjoy stuff in my chosen genres, without being outraged all the gotdam time. I want there to be sf TV shows that have poc in lead roles, or in strong, realistic non-tokenny supporting roles. I want fandom not to be shitting the bed over a black Dr Who.

God, or a black anyone. It's so tiresome. I mean, the making of bingo cards, because they all keep saying the same thing! Lame!

It makes me so angry, and it's so stupid. I just DO NOT GET the decision at all. I even more don't get the kind of commentary that some people are giving. :( :( :(
