It took a little while to drive to their destination.
After finding out the identity of the two women who apparently have a sinister interest in Corrine, Trevor and Sand arrive at the house. It looks fairly affluent, but not exactly mansion material.
Sand got out of the car. "Nice place."

"Yeah," he agrees, his attention still distracted. "I'm just trying to figure out how someone from around here would even *know* a member of the Justice Society, much less want her dead."
"So do we knock on the door, or what? The people I get in fights with aren't usually house calls."

They walk up to the house. Everything about it looks completely normal.
And quiet. Eerily quiet.
Sand thinks for a moment. He doesn't remember Trevor ever being given a signal device. "Given the bartender's testimony and Corrine's own memories, we have to assume that they're hostiles to some degree. Therefore, the direct approach probably won't get us much. I'm going to go scout. Once I come up from the ground, I'm going to use the signal device to ring your cell. Keep it on, and be ready."
Then he stops, and visibly winces. "I'm sorry, I keep forgetting your abilities. Can you track to see if there's any humanoid heatsources in the house?"

Trevor steps up to the house, laying his palms against the vinyl siding. "No guarantees, but here goes."
With that Trevor closes his eyes, reaching around with his mind to look for any heat that wouldn't be produced by the house or its appliances.

However, about 100 feet below that, are four heat signatures. Three are human baseline temperatures. The fourth is centrally located and is larger, and more free-flowing, in structure, as if the heat source wasn't currently being contained.

In this form, his strength and invulnerability is increased but he doesn't have as much fine control over the earth. Then he gets an idea.
He gets up and shoves his shoulder into the firepit/cauldron device in the center of the room. It shakes visibly.

RIGHT NOW
Another gesture, and Sand is FORCIBLY moved through the air into the wall near where Trevor was facing the shadow demon.

"It has to solidify to attack, but I don't want to depend that much on timing." Sand says through his teeth. "Can you see their heat signatures with your eyes closed?"

"I don't know about my friend here, but I am not in the fucking mood for movie quotes. Now what did you put in her drink?"

"About time, dude" Trevor mutters after spitting the roll of tape he had been holding in his mouth back into his pack. He only has one number set to play that ring tone.
"Cal!" he says by way of greeting when he picks up, snagging his t-shirt out of the pack and pulling it over his head. "Where are you?"

"Is everything alright?"
Reply
"No, everything isn't all right. Someone poisoned Corrine, and just used some kind of shadow thing to try to gut me."
"How fast can you get to Corrine's place?"

Suddenly, Trevor has Caleb’s complete attention. Good thing I only has 2 shots.
“I can’t teleport directly to the property … nature of the laylines and all. I, uh … hmmmmm”
He stops for a moment to think. It has been quite a while since he’s been to Kenton. “We could meet at the 7-11 on Church Street. Then it’s only a matter of how fast you can drive.”
