The very large widescreen TV in the media room is playing a DVD carefully dubbed off an old videotape. The colors have faded a little, but that doesn't seem to matter to the audience sitting in the darkened media room.
"Professor Stone, can you tell us what happened?" A reporter extends a microphone to a balding black man in a lab coat bearing the S.T.A.R Labs logo. Both men are standing in front of a tall office building, bearing the same logo as the white-haired man's lab coat.
The older man's face is careworn. "I'm afraid official word on the incident will have to come from our public relations department, but--" He moistens his lips and looks directly into the camera. "I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank the Teen Titans for their assistance."
"Professor, we all saw that blob--"
"Protoplasm," Professor Stone automatically corrects.
"--protoplasm oozing out of your lab--"
Professor Stone raises a hand, turning away. "Excuse me, I really do need to return inside and help assess the damage...."
The camera turns back onto the report. "Professor Stone with no real comment at this time, other than to thank the Teen Titans--" He points up in the sky, where Starfire, Wonder Girl, and Changeling are flying away. "--who this day have once again saved New York and are now returning to their headquarters in the East River...."
