The pub is empty, saved for the horned, blue-skinned bartender. The others will be here soon -- maybe even more than expected. He knows others have felt the same rumblings he has since Wotan returned.

Fate and Zard enter in silence, neither making any effort to disguise their presence. The bartender nods, and they take seats at the table.

Damn it's time for a drink, although he has the knee-jerk my niece shouldn't drink reaction and Gemma knocks him in the back of the head for it.

So he's trailing Gemma with her black hair and Tefe with her white behind him as he enters.

"Have a seat an I'll get the first round."

She rolls her eyes and makes a face at his back. One might get the idea they've been snarking at each other for a while now.

Blue Devil casts a glance at Gemma and Tefe, but then seems to think better of saying anything as he starts putting the round together.

She waves at Hector when they come in with a smile.

"Make it a stout Uncle John." Gemma has a naughty look on her face because Uncle John doesn't think she should drink but she talked him into it.

Then she sits next to Hector waving Tefe to come with her.

"So the universe falling apart yet?"

"Not yet Gemma," he says, taking off the helmet so he can sip his beer, "although it was a close call there, for a second."

Alan and Ibn's disappearances still haunt him, though, and he catches his reflection on the helm's surfaace: Tired, haggard, still pale from the loss.

"But we've all felt the reverberations, and I think it's time we start finding out what's happening."

"You look like hell." She looks concerned she felt things happening but didn't know what they were.

He smiles. "Feel like it, too. Big fight at the Rock of Eternity. Might have lost a couple of friends there. Not sure yet."

Oh yeah. It's weighing on him.

He’s tired, sore, and beaten, but by his normal standards for having just returned from a JSA mission, Caleb’s in fairly good shape. Nothing broken, after all. Hell, he isn’t even limping.

He survey’s his surroundings. There are many familiar faces, but one in particular catches his interest. He walks up to Dr. Fate, offers his hand, and gives him a friendly nod. “So, Doctor, I’d, uh … I’d have to admit to being curious as to how the situation with the Marvels was resolved.”

There's the faintest hint of a wry smile on the Stranger's features - just a flicker, then it's gone.

"It has been too long, Doctor. How fares Rose?" He probably knows, but he gets few enough moments to exchange pleasantries with old allies.

She comes into the bar a little out of breath and looks around. Whoa....this reminds her of a club in San Fran.

Ok, people are drinking and oh look, there's John, Tefe and Gemma? Damn family reunion!

Oh well, might as well find out what this is about. She heads to the bar for her own drink.

The chimp is already drunk. He stumbles in and towards the bar, taking a spot next to Zatanna.

"Hey, legs," he grins, then turns to the bartender. "Usual."

Her brows lift as she takes a sip of her stout then she grins in return.

"Hey, back. Quite the gathering. Hope this is just an impromptu mystical party but somehow I think it's a bit more than that."
