Parts of the structure inside crumble as loyal Atlantian guards struggle to protect the home of their leader and the Regent, not knowing one of them is already dead and the other one locked in a life and death struggle with his evil "uncle," the feared criminal, Ocean Master ( Read more... )

And then the colors of the ocean change, as a blazing figure cleaves through the water. The fire of the starbolt burns steadily and true.

The blast disperse most of a group beating on someone wearing the colors of the pacifest Idyllists city-states and the crowd surrounding the act watching dumbly.

There are those who now raise tridents, pieces of buildings, knives, fists...whatever was scavanged skyward. Worse, some have not stopped their assault on the innocent.

More starbolts, meant to stun rather than kill, aimed at those who are attacking their fellow citizens.

The bolts hit some of their marks. The rest saw their compariots fall and ducked or turned out of the way. The beaten wmon lies in a slowly bleeding pile behind them.

Several people fire their weapons at once. The crossfire is not as accurate as the armies of the Citadel, but the blasts are numerous and the people fight fiercely for their home.

The Martian Manhunter appears and sends a mental message to the rioters.

Stand down now or face the consequences. Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.

The Manhunter is well known as a supporter of the late queen and the exiled king. His otherworldly appearance makes some stop in awe. Some, however have allowed long-brewing zenophobia to point their weapons beligerantly towards him. The message is clear.

You are an outsider and you are invading...

An outsider, perhaps. I will not tell you what decisions to come to, but I will not allow you to harm others in your efforts to pursue your goals. That is criminal by any understanding.

Who the criminal is is very confused subject. There's a jumble of thoughts as they accuse one another.

They aren't firing or attacking, but they are not lowering their weapons either.

She's in a pressure suit and diving directly towards the castle with superspeed on her side. She's had a bad feeling about Garth for months. Some part is grateful just to know where he finally is.

The other 99% of her would like to like to trade in that worry for volleys of punches.

And if there is nothing else, there is

a very small

very

angry

portion of her that lashes out.

With control. Always control.

But there is nothing like care for whether or not the ones the shapes and shadows loom over run in fear and hurt themselves or not.

It's not as controlled as she thought, people fly back, clearing a path to the castle's main gate, which is up at the moment.

A crowd points up. One of them screams something in Atlantian and she can feel thier anger. Of all the invaders today, she is seen as the most dangerous and the fury of many hits her like a fist.

Let there be fury.

There are shields, and there are shields, and there is and will be control.

She will not slip. She will not.

The hate is filtered, but it's not like anything she's felt before. This isn't Trigon's covetness or a random rage of a villain. It's closer in feeling to the people who would look in on her as a child, but never come close and never touch her. The fear that she will bring them a kind of death fuels a desperate rage. Those of Azaroth would never act on such impulses. At the moment, this crowd is only acting on impulse.

The shots shoot out wildly and are absorbed by the energy surrounding her. They then unite and focus their shots, hoping she'll break.

Speedy is set to go with a pressure suit and water ready bow. Grabbing a scuba jet she speeds down to the castle. A call to all Titans is a call to all Titans. Even though this definately isn't her usual turf.

It's decidedly weird being in a 3 dimentional environment. Two guards approach. One speaks in halted English through a sort of shell-like translator.

"This is a inside matter, surface dweller! Go!" The other one sporting a fish tail raises his harpoon gun menacingly.

Speedy slows down, shrugs, and pulls a small loaded crossbow from behind her back, saying, "Your regent called and I am answering." She wants them to back down, they are only trying to do their job and she would rather not have to fight them for that.

"You're with her?" He says nodding to the blue clocked figure.
