As the crowd bustles out of the meeting room, Fate stops Hawkman outside the door.

Carter pauses, then nods, moving aside out of people's way. "Of course, Hector."

His arms raise to remove the helmet.

"Just wanted to say hi, see if you knew what was up with the Thanagarian Hawkman being back. Dinah called about him. Guess he wants to talk to me."

"Neron brought him back... insane, in an attempt to either force him to kill Shay, or force Shay to kill him. Craddock interfered with his plans after I disrupted their ambush on Shay'era. I doubt Neron is done with them, but for the moment, everyone is mostly recovered."

"Neron again ..."

Even without the helmet, the name sounds like ice on his tongue.

"I'm going to check in on him, the Thanagarian. He wants to know if there's some sort of sucker punch waiting from being brought back to life. It wouldn't surprise me, knowing Neron's involvement."

He shakes his head.

"Any chance you can stop by for dinner soon? I've been wanting to introduce you to my apprentice." He smiles at his father. "Apparently I have an apprentice."
