He swims towards her, frantic, and he's at her side in seconds, immediately assessing the damage - Manta's trident was jagged to make exceptionally vicious wounds but if he can get her to a medic quickly, or maybe Dr. Fate with some healing, she'll be fine.

Thankfully, he keeps his face from registering his surprise, and instead just gives the Atom a significant look.

Pulse... not responding, going to second pulse point... not responding. Administering 20ccs of adrenaline, then paddles...

You should probably contact the appropriate authorities: Mera, Queen of Atlantis, is dead.

He sighs.

Dead on arrival. Trident through the chest - although I can't immediately confirm it, by appearance I would guess belonging to Black Manta.
