Nightstar knows it is logical and reasonable to conserve her strength, to rest and recover.

But she's never been very good at being logical or reasonable. So she offers all she has left to Dr. Fate, holding nothing back for herself.

With a nod to the Dream King, Fate guides the dreams of heroes to the holes Croutex's rampage tore in reality, slowly knitting them together again. The work is difficult, and yet he's overcome by a sense of well-being, of healing.

It feels like the calm after a rain when the air is clean and the clouds move away. Some storm has passed and Tefe smiles and flowers grow wherever her feet touch the earth as she walks.

In a California hospital, Zauriel stands vigil beside the bed of a teenage girl who attempted suicide under the direction, and breathes a sigh of relief as he feels its influence fading.

He opens his over mind, his angel mind, and reads of the Book of the World, and sees the words have been changed. How, he knows not, but for the first time inmonths, he looks forward again to what the world will bring.

He lies in bed. Lois is at his side, sleeping, smiling. He has seen and been through much in the past couple of months. But the events of Silent Hill had been somewhat of a catharsis for the Man of Steel, and so he sleeps, and he dreams. He dreams of promise and the hope of a new day.
