Not bad for a girl.

Acrobat he might be, but Houdini he isn't. He lands awkwardly on the mat, grimacing as he jars his elbow but determined not to show it. His expression is positively thunderous as his head snaps around to scowl back at her behind his mask.

I don't believe you.

A sudden twist of his body and he's free again, backing away from her.

Bette lets him go.

She just lets him go. "No. There is no reason for it, is there?" She pauses for a few moments and then shrugs, "It is better than not knowing I exist."

Confusion sets back in as he watches her. She could be lulling him into a false sense of security. He doesn't want to take the chance.

You're the only person I've seen here. Who the hell are you?

"I'm your biggest fan." Bette looks at him with a sad smile, "And if you left this room, I'm sure you'd run into someone else...."

Color him -really- confused now. Ego appears to have a fierce debate with Paranoia. Ego wins.

Well, he -is- a teenager.

He relaxes a little, assuming a smug expression.

I got lots of fans, lady. Who says you're the biggest, huh?

"I could teach classes on you." Bette smiles. It's a little sad but she probably could. "I figured out pretty much everything except how to get your attention."

Eyes narrow.

Everything? Like what?

Bette shakes her head a bit, "I'm not going to freak you out. Besides it takes me years to figure out any of the good stuff." She pauses, "You've got a hell of a future in front of you."

Future? You're trying to tell me you know my future?

You're -weird-, lady.

Bette laughs a bit, "You're probably here because of the weirdness that has been happening recently and won't remember any of this at all when you get back home." The blonde smiles, "I'm in your future. About... well. I meet you in person when I was almost sixteen so... you were sixteen."

He looks doubtful.

I dunno. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna remember meeting some weird blonde chick who told me she knew my future. Isn't that kinda a paradox or something if I'm meeting you now, though?

Where -is- here, anyway?

"I don't know how this stuff works. It makes my head hurt. I don't think you're going to remember any of this." Bette looks a little... well... regretful on that score but it likely is much for the better that way. Besides.. That would make things really stupidly complicated.

"Here is Titans Tower."

He wrinkles his nose.

You live here?

"At the moment." Bette looks at him and for a moment and allows herself to indulge in a moment of nostalgia. It's really only a momeny. "There are a lot of people who live here."

Curiosity is getting the better of him.

So, what, it's like a dorm or a frat house or something? What's out here?

And he's heading out the door.
