Jason Blood finds himself left standing in the Batman's wake, with Zatanna on one side, and the amulet with the eye hanging from one hand

Zatanna gives Jason a look. "You should give the amulet back to Batman is what you should do."
She may not know what's going on in his mind, but she knows the amulet is no good and she knows Jason's orange poetry-spouting friend is bound to come out to play sooner or later.
"As for the hallow, well, I really would need more details about it. Or I suppose we could try spell to locate it."
Jason shakes his head. "Batman has neither the knowledge nor the ability to discover all the secrets hidden within this amulet. One of those secrets may be our enemy's weakness." He looks down, and notices his knuckles have gone white around the amulet's chain, gripping it so tightly.
"If you worry about the Demon...he is not likely to be able to usurp my place on this plane, not while I have important work to do. He does not rule me." His voice is full of disdain, and yet he wonders if Etrigan is the real danger here.
He calms down, and wonders why he's being so vehement about this. He kneels down and begins to draw runes with a chalk from his pocket on the concrete.
"I will teleport us to your home, if you'd like. From there, you can try this location spell--which I agree, is our best chance to track it down."
"Jason, I'm serious. You're going to have to give someone else that amulet and I don't mean me. Batman can handle it. Some secrets are better left hidden.
But he follows you where ever you go. It's quite a responsibility. I'm worried this amulet will just make everything worse."
Zatanna...really wants to either throttle him or hug him. Surely he knows better. Maybe he just doesn't really care and that's upsetting.
She sighs.
"I was staying with Batman but...if you can teleport us to Shadowcrest, we could try it there and also you could use my father's library to research the amulet. Since you've got quite a grip on it."
"NO secret is better left hidden, Zatanna. Some secrets fester until they sicken the whole body..." He trails off, then finishes the runes on the floor, and feels the joy of uttering the teleportation spell. Somehow, the feeling of using magic is more alive now in him than it has ever been.
"Hell is no friend to the Mother, and neither is Etrigan. And neither am I."
The portal opens in a burst of flame, and Shadowcrest is visible on the other side. "Come. Your father's library awaits, and hopefully answers to this puzzle as well."
