Not commenting on Jack's Wizard of Oz analogy, Jay turns to Corrine. "If Fate gave you the helm to keep in trust, then I think the rest of us can trust that you'll be able to pull this off." He faces Terrific. "So we've got a way to reach Fate. The next question is... do we know how best to help him?"

"Perhaps simply reaching him and exchanging information will bring us closer to that answer."

*Corrine smiles at Jay, although she's not sure if she's happy about the vote of confidence, or even more afraid. It means she'll actually have to _do_ this, and do it right.* 'And no turning back now' *she thinks to herself* 'You just had to open your big mouth.'

I can tell you all that things in his tower did not look good...not good at all. Things were torn apart and dishevelled, and those words etched into stone. Now Terrific's telling us that Fate mentioned a trip to the dreaming?! I don't have to tell you all that this almost certainly means trouble. This group has never had much luck with trips into dreams. I'm also wanting to know what happenned to Lyta. She wasn't there, but there was no blood. I am hopeful we'll find her alive...but not certain. Speaking of missing, anyone seen Carter?

Maybe Dr. Fate knows where Lyta is... *She crosses her arms, leaning back against a wall* Um, I hate to say this, but... could Fate have already gone when whatever it was trashed his tower?

*She looks very afraid for a moment* Maybe he left for the dreaming, and THEN something came looking for the helm? If so, then... *Bites her bottom lip, then continues in a small voice.* I have it now.

*As if in response, the Helm of Nabu glows lightly, and radiates with an almost-soothing warmth.*

I wouldn't worry about that overly much, Corrine. All evidence thus far points to Fate granting you the helmet for custodial purposes until his return. Besides, you're with the JSA now. We're not going to let anyone hurt you. I promise.
