"Batman. I understand the urgency at this time." Blood puts a hand to his head, as if afflicted by a headache.

"The long and short of it is...there is a hallow in Gotham. A creature that is a living human body, but without a soul...this hallow presents a great threat to Gotham, and to the world." He shakes his head. "I have not much information, but I may be of assistance in locating it."

He looks over at Robin. "I assume you realize your boy here is in danger. The Mother is coming, and Dr. Fate has entered the Dreaming in order to defeat her. However, I cannot be sure he can do it alone..."

He looks up at Batman, implacable. "The amulet. It is the key to all this. Do you have it?"

"As well she should be, Batman...as well she should be." Blood gingerly puts his hand out and takes the amulet, by its chain, from the Batman's hand...and puts it up in front of his face, eyes locked on it, trying to plumb its hidden depths.

Blood's eyes narrow as he examines the amulet. He seems as if his eyes are locked with the eye within...

"Powerful it is, Batman...but perhaps not in the way you might think..." His gaze is still locked. "This amulet is a transferring device... if worn by a body with no soul or spirit, it will allow a soul or such entity to enter that body and claim it..."

Blood blinks, and now his gaze meets the Batman's. "There is a hallow in Gotham, as I told Zatanna. This cannot be a coincidence."
