"You know...you interest me. When you're done being the League's "Science Guy" you can give me a call." Luthor pushes himself forward, giving Ted a backwards look.

"For all your talents, and all your initiative, you just stand content. Don't do that. Its degrading."

"You know, Lex - I do appreciate the compliment, and the offer. That said, I don't know that you and I see eye to eye on the whole anti-Kryptonian thing. I think I recall a Daily Planet interview where you explained your thoughts on Superman.. what was it you said? That his presence limits us?"

"And you disagree I suppose? Of course, my greatest rival and your "leader" isn't here to do the job himself. He sent you like an errand boy." Luthor's hands fold in his lap. It had been a long, strange journey back to "his" planet to say the least.

"I do disagree, yes. I think humanity's potential is going to explode, in a good way - irrespective of Superman's presence or absence. In the meantime, he's a safety net - not a wet blanket. In a few hundred years, the ability to bench-press an aircraft carrier will seem pretty trivial compared to what science can do."
