Scarecrow is hard at work in the lab listening to some swing music when the Cyborg's voice cuts through the song.

Crane doesn't move except to smile slightly. "Well. That's very clever."

"Picked up and alert sent." Ollie can hear J'onn in his mind. "I'm giving everyone sixty seconds to convene here before I and whoever else is here moves in."

With Superman off-planet, J'onn felt obligated to lead the charge against this maniac.

"Am I allowed to think that the whole 'We come in peace' line is a load of total bull?" Mia asked as Ollie after he got off the comm with J'onn.

In Opal City, a private citizen had been listening to Opal's public radio station, which had been playing a charming, if quite outdated, radio drama from a bygone era of 'mystery men' and sound effects created in-studio. He'd been listening with amused fondness, sipping his tea, as the programme built towards its predictable but endearing climax.

And then the transmission cut out, and was shortly replaced by a much clearer voice, less static. Shade listened with an arched brow, his expression growing less and less impressed as the speech concluded.

When it ended, he rolled his eyes. "Oh, for the love of..."

He glared at the radio, but instead of the programme continuing, he heard the announcer's shaken voice saying the station would now be reserved for emergency broadcasting.

The Shade huffed, and got to his feet. "Threatening the planet is one thing," he said darkly, as he fetched his coat, his top hat, his cane.

"Depriving me of the ending to my programme-- now, that is quite another."

"Sombody's been watchin too much 'V'...although Morena Baccarin is wayyy hotter."

Connor quickly finishes with the fence repairs, bailing hay, and feeding the livestock before he takes off into the sky.

On the comms "Hey Boy Wonder, you catchin Terminator TV?"

Sounds of sirens and traffic are in the background as the line opens up.

"Yeah, but I'm a little busy."

"Wilson! Eiling! You may want to hear this!"

Slade walked into the room, looking at the screen as Henshaw railed off against the Lanterns. "I love it when crap lines up like this." He said to Grodd with a grin. This could work in their favor.

"Indeed. Let's just hope the heroes are competant enough to stop this invasion by themselves. I really don't feel like having to aid them again."

"Even if they can't, we won't help them." Slade said, the cogs of his mind whirring. "If they handle it, then they'll be battered, giving us an opportunity to strike. If they fail, the enemy is battered and we can deal with it. Either way, we win."
