That sentiment may not be sincere from most of them, but in this case, it was Ganthet who spoke.

"Guardians of the Universe, I come to you with a humble request."
Cranking his neck, Kyle scans the forms hovering, knowing that many of them still weren't his biggest fan. To be honest the feeling was mutual. But for now at least he needed to push that aside, and to move forward towards his greater mission.
"I have followed your orders and remained on Oa after my confrontation with the being known as Parallax. But I believe that I could be better use to you to return to my post and to once again resume patrol over Sector 2814."
He wasn't going to hold his breath that it was going to be that easy. But hey, might as well give it a shot.

Ganthet looks to the other Guardians, their faces mostly impassive.
"Still, we have concerns. The Sinestro Corps has proven quite resourceful at infiltration. Our interrogation of its captured members is ongoing."
There's something Ganthet's not saying, judging from his hesitation.
"We will take your request under advisement."

"I understand your concerns, and while they are warranted, I have shown no ill effects since my encounter. And believe that I could do much more good if allowed to return to active patrol."
He pauses in his speech, knowing that this was not going to get him anywhere, he turned directly to Ganthet. Although the guardian and he had their ups and downs, it was Ganthet that had given him his ring so many years ago, and his best bet for breaking through.
"Guardians of the Universe. I hope you forgive me for being forward, but is there something amiss with your interrogation of Parallax?"
